Materials Chemistry Group

The Materials Chemistry Group of the University of the Balearic Islands is responsible for the synthesis of porous materials in addition to the development and improvement of analytical techniques that allow the control and monitoring of different parameters of environmental interest, as well as the elimination of the pollutants present in the environment.

Research areas

  • Surface chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis
  • Nanostructured materials
  • Biomaterials
  • Metal-organic Frameworks (MOFs)
  • 3D-printing
  • Adsorption for the removal of environmental pollutants
