Materials Chemistry Group
The Materials Chemistry Group of the University of the Balearic Islands is responsible for the synthesis of porous materials in addition to the development and improvement of analytical techniques that allow the control and monitoring of different parameters of environmental interest, as well as the elimination of the pollutants present in the environment.

Neus Crespí doctoral thesis
Last Friday, May 12th, Neus Crespí defended her doctoral thesis entitled ‘New hybrid materials based on metal-organic frameworks for the removal of organic pollutants‘, supervised by Dr. Gemma Turnes Palomino and Dr. Carlos Palomino Cabello and obtaining a qualification of excellent “cum laude”. Congratulations Dr. Neus!!

Andrea Están, student of the master’s degree in chemical science and technology at the UIB, presented the master’s thesis project she is working on in our research group and was the winner of the contest organized by the Department of Chemistry of the UIB in the master’s category.
